The Samoa National Basketball team for the Pacific Cham[ionships is going hard training 4 days in a week. the coaches are working hand in hand to make sure that Samoa has a strong and a well prepared team for this competition

The men national team has eight local players and other Samoans who hale in New Zealand who very much like to have part in the team will fill up the remaining spots. The coaches are very eager for a better team this year. seeing that the development of basketball is begining to elevate in the coutry.  The president of the Basketball Federation is seeking a better team and is training the boys hard out for a great rank in the Pacific.

The President believes that if Samoa National Basketball gets a better ranking in this Pacific Championships a lot of local players will be inspired and is motivated. That way all players for the next Pacific Championship will be selected locally without anymore overseas players to have part in the national team.
