Samoa National Basketball Tournament
The Samoa National Basketball Federation is holding a basketball tournament in the National University of Samoa Gymnasium at Le Papaigalagala. There has been 6 junior teams registered, 4 women teams and 10 senior men teams.
The 6 Junior Teams are Black Thunder, LA Minions, Navu Star, Navu Heavenly Waters, Vaimoso and Motootua. For the womens teams; Bright Stars, Ensign, Vaimoso and Laulii. The Mens teams; Bright Stars, Laulii, Navu Boys, Alafua, Young Ryders, Pesega Eagles, Lupe ole So'aga, Saoluafata, Vaimoso and Heats. The Basketball Association has noticed through their observations that there has been an improvment in the way the boys play the game as for the girls there really needs a lot of work.
The tournament runs for only wednesdays and fridays due to the availability of the National University's Gymnasium.
