Round 4 of the SJBL was completed today in windy conditions at Samoa's Funway Park. Eight teams were in action today, but it wasn't so much the action on the court that was most pleasing - two new local referees officiated in their first SJBL games. The two new referees, Paul and Tyson, have been interested spectators for the past 3 weeks, but today both offered their help with the refereeing of the games. Having received no formal training, both referees officiated the games like seasoned veterans. After running 4 games, Paul and Tyson were presented with a double pass to Magik Cinemas to thank them for their help. Games will run again next week and I look forward to seeing both referees in action then. Good job guys !!!
