SJBL continues in the rain
Round 2 of the SJBL continued in wet and windy conditions today at Funway Park. Rain fell all through the night and right through the morning, but that didn't discourage a super keen bunch of kids. In all 4 teams decided to play in the rain, with a few extras coming in for a look. So as it was, 2 games were conducted; a boys and a girls match. The standard of both matches was impressive considering the conditions. Although at times the ball handling was a problem, the kids more than made up for it with high percentage shooting and sensible passing. Next week should see the competition back in full flight. With any luck the conditions will be on our side and the 21 registered teams will be in attendance. A big thank-you to all the kids and parents for coming along today.
