Independence Championships Day #2
The day started off with a bang as the Alafua Heat junior mens team blew ABW 2 out of the water, beating them easily 55-7. The other matches in this pool were much closer with ABW 1 defeating Sharks 22-15 and Stingers beating a gallant ABW 2 team 16-9. Our womens section was reduced down to 3 teams after some teams were unable to field teams at the last minute. Today 3 games were played, starting with Friends defeating Rebels 24-14. In the next match Friends again came away victorious winning 22-18 over Riverside. The last game of the day saw Rebels defeat Riverside 22-20. In the men, Feepo Sons and Streetballers won their first games of the day before playing out a thrilling draw, Sharks were unlucky to lose two very close matches while Heat #1 were impressive in beating a quality Mose's Team 18-15 Todays results have definitely meant that tomorrow will be a huge day of basketball action.
