Nauru pulled out the Micro Games, but Jonah Harris did not
Colonia, Yap. Jonah Harris is only 19 years old but the eyes of his nation are on him as he competes in the 2018 Micronesian Games in Yap, as the only athlete representing Nauru.

800m (Women's)
Competing in the 2018 Micro Games Track and Field were Guam, CNMI, Palau, and Chuuk. All hyped up, they completed their run with 2 min. 2 sec. tops for Genina Criss.

4 x 100m Relay (Men's)
Competing in the 4x100-meter relay for men, four men from Palau -- Adrian Ililau, Gwynn Uehara, Rodman Teltull and Ian Koshiba took 1st place and won four more Gold medals for their home island. The men from Chuuk island handily managed their way to 2nd place. Winning the Silver medal were Oneison McMahon to Benoni Kin, Kin to Namar Jimenez, and Jimenez to Scott Fiti.

High Jump (Men's)
Competing in the Men’s High Jump competition were five men from five different islands -- Palau, Nauru, Yap, Pohnpei and Kiribati.

800m (Men's)
Guam’s Olympian Josh Ilustre dominated in the 800m event running a 2min. 4sec. race while his teammate Darin Pascua put together a final push in the last 100m to secure Guam a Silver medal.

4 x 100m Relay (Women's)
Guam’s women set a new standard in the 4x100m relay by breaking the Micro Games record with a 50.97 time. A perfect hand off at the start from Packbier to Tugade, and Tugade to Amparo, resulted in a flourishing final 100m for Shania Bulala.

Triple Jump (Women's)
On Day 3 of the 2018 Micro Games, the Triple Jump for women took place at the Yap Sports Complex. There were four competitors from Guam, Marshall islands, CNMI and Pohnpei.

Shot Put (Men's)
On the third day of the 2018 Micro Games the men’s Shot Put saw eleven competitors participating in the sport. Three athletes represented Palau, another three were from CNMI, two represented Yap, another two were from the Republic Marshall Islands, and one competitor joined from Guam.

Guam win both of the game's first Gold Medals in the 10,000m
Guam won both the men's and women's 10,000m in an early morning start on Day 1 of competition at the 2018 Micronesian Games. In humid conditions, runners fought hard with Guam's Ryan Matienzo blitzing the field to complete his 25 laps in 36 min 16.32sec. The Gold Medal in the women's event was won by Genina Criss in a time of 47min 54.49 sec.

Nine Teams to compete in Track and Field
Teams from CNMI, Yap, Kosrae, Pohnpei, Palau, Kiribati, Guam, Chuuk and the Marshall Islands will compete in both men and women's track and field athletics events during the 2018 Micro Games in Yap.
