The Northern Bullants survived a second-half rally by the bendigo Bombers to win by nine points at Visy Park last Sunday.
The Bullants led by 21-points at the major break but the Bombers managed to win more of the football in the third term and slotted five goals to one.
The Bombers slender two point advanmtage was quickly erased though, as the Bullants rallied to boot six goals to four in the last quarter.
Best for the Bullants was defender David Armfield (34 disposals) and Jarrod McCorkell. For the Bombers, Bachar Houli was creative off half-back for 29 possessions and John Williams and Simon Weekley each snagged three goals. New Bombers recruit Paul Scanlon was busy also.
