LINDSAY Thomas has reignited his push for AFL selection in a nine-goal haul from 12 scoring shots for North Ballarat.
Lindsay Thomas stole the show in a two-point thriller against Williamstown at Eureka Stadium on Saturday.
Williamstown forward Jarrad Grant almost stole the match with a kick for goal after the siren, forced through for a behind.
Thomas had four goals by half-time, saved the Roosters from trouble in the third quarter, and chipped in two majors to put the Roosters in the lead deep in the fourth quarter of the Victorian Football League clash.
The North Melbourne-listed Thomas showcased his goal-kicking versatility with a renewed confidence in front of the sticks and impressed with his marking ability, including a screamer in the third quarter.
Midfielder Cruize Garlett was in dominant form with 39 possessions against a high-quality Seagulls’ outfit. Both teams had plenty to prove in what North Ballarat coach Gerard FitzGerald has claimed as one of the tightest battles he has coached in a long time.
