Sunday winners in the Peter Jackson VFL were: Geelong, Werribee Tigers and Sandringham.
Plenty of changes occured to the VFL ladder with today's results.
Geelong knocks Blues from 8
Geelong has fallen just 0.14% short of returning to the Peter Jackson VFL top eight after a convincing win against Northern Blues today by 71 points. The Cats led from start to finish, mastering the conditions early to knock the Blues’ from the eight.
After kicking two of the first three goals of the game, Geelong finished the first term full of run, piling on four straight majors to take a 30-point lead into the second term.
The Cats run of unanswered goals quickly turned to eight as they restricted the Blues to just one behind in the second quarter to race out to a 57-point lead at half time.
The second half was a slog between the two sides, with the scoring reduced to just six goals. While Nick Graham ended a 10 goal unanswered run by Geelong midway through the third term, the Blues could not gain any momentum as Daniel Gibbs added his third for the Cats to see them up by 63 at three quarter time.
To add to the scoreboard woes, Jarrad Waite did not take any further part in the game after three quarter time, after a knock to the hip. The Cats ventually running out 71-point winners in a lacklustre final term.
Geelong produced five multiple goal scorers in Daniel Gibbs (3), Lincoln McCarthy, James Toohey, Nick Bourke and Jackson Hollmer (2 each), with Brad Hartman (20 disposals), Mitch Brown, Jesse Stringer (17) and Dom Gleeson (31)among their best.
Tom Wilson kicked two for the Blues, with Nick Holman, Tom Bell (23 disposals), Andrew McInness and Nick Graham (29) their best.

Zebra back in the 8
Sandringham returns to the top eight after a 65-point win over Bendigo at Trevor Barker Beach Oval.
After an emotion charged week for the Gold, the Zebras were prepared for a tough encounter, but got the advantage early to take the emotion from the game. Spencer White kick two first term goals, and the Zebras produced goals from up the ground with Farren Ray and Myke Cook both scoring to help the home side to a 19-point quarter time lead.
The second term was more even as inaccuracy plagued both teams with nine behinds scored for the quarter. Bendigo were only able to cut Sandringham’s lead by one point to 18 at half time.
The scoring options opened up for Sandringham in the third, with White kicking his third, Cook his second and Trent Denis Lane scoring two as the home side kicked the first four goals of the term for a 47-point lead at three quarter time.
The Gold was unable to stop the scoring power for the Zebras, as Lee added two more in the final term to take his tally to four, providing Sandringham a 10 goal win.
Lee and Denis Lane led all scorers with four and three goals respectively, and both were among the best with Dylan Roberton, Tom Hickey and Dylan Weickhardt.
Alik Magin kicked two for Bendigo, and was in the best with Jesse Wallin, Jesse Collins and Devin McFarlane.

Werribee consolidates top 8 spot
Werribee produced an important home ground win, holding off a fast finishing Coburg to win by 13 points.
While Lech Featherstone gave the visitors the perfect start with the first goal, Werribee replied with the next four to jump to a 22-point quarter time lead.
Kane Turner and Jye Bolton with his second ensured the Tigers went into half time with a 24-point lead, which was going to be tough to make up for Coburg in the conditions, after only adding one goal for the term through Nick Carnell.
Brayden Norris pushed Werribee out to a 33-point lead in the third term, but Coburg fought back to trail by 29 points at three quarter time.
Coburg kicked the only two goals of the final term, but were let down by their inaccuracy kicking six behinds. Dan Younan and Cody Mance both kicked their second goals for the game midway through the final term, to draw the Lions within 11 points. They were unable to find another for the quarter, despite restricting the home side to just two behinds, falling short by 13 points.
Bolton was the only multiple goal kicker for Werribee with two goals, with Scott McMahon and Jake Wilson the best in defence for the Tigers, along with Tom Gribble, Sam Wright and Mason Wood.
Younan and Mance both kicked two for the Lions – all in the second half – while Nathan Blair was best for Coburg, along with Michael Hartley in defence, Mance (18 disposals) and Nick Carnell.
