Team bonding and leadership were key tenets of Williamstown 's recent pre-season sojourn at Anglesea.
From January 30, the Seagulls squad plus young Western Bulldogs recruits completed a three-day camp that tested the players mental and physical resolve.
New recruit Mark Weekes passed the first hurdle, winning the "Parker St Hill" run in an imprssive four minutes and 16 seconds. Other gut-busting activities included an orienteering challenge, a surf carnival and a bi-athalon. For a bit of fun, the players also took aprt in a trivia challeneg and a "Red Faces" skit competition.
Williamstown's leadership consultant Bruce Davis and captain Brett Johnson also took the group through a series of educative sessions concerning discipline and behaviour standards.
