AFL Victoria is saddened to hear of the passing of dual JJ Liston Trophy winner Laurie Hill, age 71.
Hill won the competition’s top honour in 1969 and 1971 with the Preston FC (now Northern Blues), as well as being captain of his club where he was a dual best and fairest.
The half back flanker played 84 games over five seasons, joining Preston from Collingwood where he spent eight seasons, recording 114 games.
Hill was also a premiership player at Preston, and the club best and fairest at Northern Blues is named in his honour.
