Reigning premier North Ballarat is hoping to boost its onfield stocks by adding fresh TAC Cup talent ahead of the coming season.
North Ballarat Rebels products Ryan McKenzie, Tyler George, Jason Linke, Alex Gubbins and Taite Radley have been training with the Roosters over the pre-season.
Despite atsting the ultimate success in 2008, North Ballarat coach Gerard FitzGerald believes his team cannot rest on its laurels.
“We have to get better across the board," FitzGerald told the Ballarat Courier.
FitzGerald added that the core of his premiership winning side had been retained for this new season.
“(Players) retention has been the club’s main priority," FitzGerald told the Courier.
“It’s been exceptional; to be able to keep the nucleus of the side."
Notable absentees to move on include Ben Taylor (Lake Wendouree), Jake Dignan (Buninyong), Ryan Waight (Redan), Brendan Peace (Redan), and Dan McConnell.
