Geelong Rookie Jonathan Simpkin has been named as the Cats VFL Best and Fairest for the second year running.
Despite the VFL side comprising of a different coaching panel in 2012, Simpkin was able to notch back to back awards after taking out the vote count in 2011.
The 25-year-old polled 779 votes, beating captain Troy Selwood, who finished with 775 votes.
Simpkin played 19 VFL matches and kick 19 goals in the Cats Premiership year. His form rewarded him with the opportunity to make his official AFL debut, playing four senior games for 2012.
