The North Ballarat Football Club is holding its fourth annual Corporate Golf Day on Friday and is again helping in the fight against breast cancer.
The club will support Ballarat’s young breast cancer support group – Breastcancer in the City Country (BICC) through its golf day at the Ballarat Golf Club.
The club will donate a percentage of money raised on the day to the group as well as through an auction of items including framed football jumpers.
In the past three years, more than $7,500 has been raised for BICC and funds went towards a Cadd Pump for the Ballarat Health Services.
“The club is pleased to be able to offer this continued support to BICC, particularly as they endeavour to open their Ballarat Cancer Support Centre, right here is Ballarat, supporting the local Ballarat community,” North Ballarat Football Club’s Chief Executive Officer Mark Patterson said.
BICC spokesperson Colleen Thompson said that the money raised last year was used to help aide the Ballarat Cancer Support Centre that is opening up on February 23 at 13 Errard St Nth.
It also helps maintain the BICC website that has useful and important information for women to help them through their journey with breast cancer.
“We are very grateful for the support of the Roosters as it is only through the assistance of organisations like this that we can continue to provide the support and services that we do,” she added.
