Former AFL star Adem Yze will line-up at Box Hill City Oval this year.
The 31-year-old Box Hill Hawks recruit adds a wealth of AFL experience to new coach Brendon Bolton's young group.
Yze played 271 AFL matches for Melbourne and was an AFL All-Australian team member in 2002.
Box Hill Hawks football manager Dale Bower said Yze was a major acquisition for the Hawks.
"Adem is a terrific acquisition to our playing list," Bower told The Age newspaper.
"What he brings to the table on and off the field will be invaluable to the team and we have no doubt his experience will rub off on our younger players.
"Many feel he is extremely unlucky not to still be on an AFL list."
