The Box Hill Hawks will be the hunted team in season 2014.
The reigning premiers have lost just the one premiership player – Bryce Retzlaff – from the team that upset Geelong in the Grand Final.
Daniel Pratt, last year’s captain, has retired and while his experience will be missed he was not a part of the on-field VFL Hawks’ finals success.
With the addition of Roo Ayden Kennedy and a host of talented kids from the TAC Cup, Box Hill Hawks depth looks stronger than last season.
Certainly, Box Hill Hawks enjoy the best working relationship of any of the aligned clubs and that will make it easier for new coach Marco Bello, who knows how the culture of the club operates having played and been on the Box Hill Hawks coaching staff. Expect Box Hill Hawks to again occupy the upper rungs of the ladder.
