The Bendigo Community Bank Southern Gippsland Junior Football Competition - previously known as the Alberton Junior Football League - is the only junior football competition in South Gippsland.
The competition consists of eight clubs that field a total of 22 teams across four grades of football, under-10, under-12, under-14 and Youth Girls.
Games are played on Sundays, and occasionally Friday nights, with a focus on participation, enjoyment and growing Australian football in the South Gippsland region, with a sense of fair play, community collaboration and a desire to have members and players reach their maximum potential.
SGJFC is a member of the AFL Gippsland regional administration centre.
In 2017, the competition expanded to include a youth girls division for the first time and secured a naming rights sponsor in the Bendigo Community Bank.
