HMAS Goorangai Memorial Race

The HMAS Goorangai Memorial Trophy Race will be held on Saturday 27th November 2021, the day before QCYC's 59th Opening Day.

It will be held in conjunction with the Alan Robinson Memorial Trophy Race. Cruising Groups are encouraged to join in either race or cruise to QCYC. For those without a vehicle, the Club Ferry will be available for transport to Queenscliff by arrangement.

The Goorangai is from Brighton to Queenscliff and is conducted by the Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club with the assistance of Royal Brighton Yacht Club. It is open to all keelboats on the register of an affiliated Club. Wharfage at both RBYC and QCYC is free to competitors on the respective dates. Sunday, 28th November is QCYC’s 59th Opening Day and competitors are invited to stay and attend the Opening Ceremony, Blessing of the Fleet and luncheon.

Entry is now open and can be made via TryBooking here. The entry fee is $40 (with an early bird fee of $30 before 24th November) and includes one night's wharfage at QCYC on the night of the race.
