After a blustery 40 knot plus Friday, the wind moderated for the start on Saturday to 17 knots W at RBYC's tower. Jaffa, Ryujin and Alien were quick off the mark heading for the West Channel Pile 13.
BKT Jamhu and It's A Privilege got in the groove as the wind increased to around 20-24 knots with a touch of North in the predominantly Westerly.
It's a Privilege was first across the line in just under 3 hours with BKT fairly close behind. Aquacadabra achieved a creditable 2nd on handicap.
Local yacht, Boomaroo, sailing two up, with Tom Hinton and John Barry did not have the tide in their
favour reaching down the West Channel, unlike the bigger yachts.

QCYC would like to thank the RBYC sailing management Colin and Chad for organising the
Brighton side of the Annual Race with the towering assistance of Peter Austin and Murray Cowdell.
