The HMAS Goorangai Memorial Trophy Race will be held on Saturday 29th October 2022, the day before QCYC's 60th Opening Day.
This year, for the first time, the race will incorporate the Eliza Ramsden Trophy for boats skippered by female helms.
The Goorangai is from Brighton to Queenscliff and is conducted by the Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club with the assistance of Royal Brighton Yacht Club. It is open to all keelboats on the register of an affiliated Club. Wharfage at both RBYC and QCYC is free to competitors on the respective dates. Sunday, 30th October is QCYC’s 60th Opening Day and competitors are invited to stay and attend the Opening Ceremony, Blessing of the Fleet and luncheon.
Entry will be open from October 1st and can be made for both trophy races via TryBooking here. The entry fee is $50 (with an early bird fee of $25 before 26th October) and includes one night's wharfage at QCYC on the night of the race. Boats wishing to compete for the Eliza Ramsden Trophy are asked to nominate when entering via TryBooking.
