The Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron is organising an Australia Day Nauti Weekend. The weekend is designed to be filled with free fun and inclusive on water events for all types of boats and skill levels, with after parties each evening at RMYS. There are a number of different events to suit everyone who is not involved in the yacht racing (which is also on offer) and would like to get out on the water and have some fun.
On Saturday the 23rd January, a boating event is being planned that would see boats from all clubs 'Meet in the Middle'. Titled 'Buoy O Buoy', RMYS has planned for boats to meet and greet, reconnect, and have some fun in the Middle of the Bay. RGYC yachts sailing up to Melbourne for the Passage Race to Geelong the following day may also meet in the Middle!
After meeting, boats could go home or sail to RMYS to spend the night. To add to the attractiveness of the event and encourage participants, RMYS are offering all boats that want to visit the north end of the bay for the weekend a free berth for the evening of the 23rd January 2021. There will be a Marina Party that evening with a DJ to entertain us.
