The inaugural Queenscliff Cup has been won by Castille, skippered by Vice Commodore Richard Lowe who pipped Oasis onto second place by one point. Yesterday's light winds were replaced by gusts of over 25 knots. The photos below give a taste of today's conditions.
Congratulations to Castille and her crew! And well done to Race Officer Mike Phelan for completing the series in a difficult week dominated by strong easterly winds.

Race 1
The first race started at 1230 hrs on Tuesday 5th January in a 9 knot NNE wind. The wind dropped off to very light breezes with strong tides making for interesting racing and a very close finish.

Update Monday 4th January:
All racing was abandoned again today. Sailing instructions have been amended to extend the regatta by one more day in order to allow completion of racing.
Update Sunday 3rd January:
With a fresh easterly gusting up to 30 knots, racing has been abandoned for the day. The crews will spend the day in the clubhouse and Race Officer Mike Phelan is hoping for three races tomorrow, Monday 4th January.
