As part of NAIDOC celebrations in the inaugural NBL1 West competition, we are indebted to Dr Richard Walley OAM, who designed the artwork on our uniforms. Richard, a Noongar elder is one of Australia’s leading Aboriginal performers, writers, and cultural consultants. The Walley family has been part of our Tigers family for many generations.
The uniform tells the visual story of a basketball game. Richard’s design describes the energy field of a basketball game, created by players, guided by coaches, enabled by officials and committees, and enjoyed by spectators, all of which are represented by the symbols on the singlet.
