BUSY BEE BIG SUCCESS

A massive thank you must go out to all volunteers who were able to assist on Sunday the 13th of July with the Stadium Busy Bee. With so many eager souls eager to assist their club, we were able to get through many tasks and give the stadium that Spring clean it has been waiting for!

Some highlights include;

·         Brock “The Block” Halliday doing more vacuuming in one day than a maid does in a lifetime.

·         Phil Nixon and Robyn Winter showing their versatility by designing the beautiful plush new carpeted entry for our lobby.

·         SBL star Kate Malpass arriving for a painting job in nightclub jeans, and being forced to don a not so glamorous raincoat to protect them!

·         Women’s SBL Assistant Coach, Peter “Hercules” Cook showing he is more than a strategy master and a pretty face, he can also destroy anything on the planet in under a minute if armed with a metal pipe. This is not a man you want to cross!

A big congratulations must go to the winners of our Hoyts “Half Pipe” Busy Bee competition. Jeff Anderson drew out the following volunteers, who were lucky enough to win double passes to the new bean bag cinema from our friends at Hoyts Cinemas.

Ryan Keepa

Maurica Hampson,

Marie Muir

Kate Malpass

A big thank you once more to all those who helped spruce up the stadium on a cold winter’s day!

Matt Muir and Jeff Anderson.
