5 Reasons you should be sailing your minnow at Mordialloc this Sunday:
- We have Gemma Burns as a special guest coach! Gemma Burns is an ex-Minnow Sailor, and the winner of the 2011 National Championship, and in doing so was the first girl to win the title in 13 years. Since then, she has been part of the Victorian Sailing Team in 2013/14 in the 29er class. She has been coaching the Minnow class for the last 5 years, and is looking forward to being there to coach and support the Minnow Squad this weekend.
- The weather is looking PERFECT!
- It will be a great warm up for the SAIL MORDY regatta the following weekend; learn the waters, tides and conditions a week early!
- Catch up with your mates sailing the 420s who will all be there for their training session, quite a few ex minnow champions in that fleet to get some tips from!
- Its at MORDIALLOC, which is one of my favourite sailing club to visit because it's centrally located, has a friendly atmosphere and a great viewing platform/beer deck where you can watch the racing while enjoying the afternoon sun and a cleansing ale...
So, if that all sounds too good to miss out on, check out the WEBSITE and get your boat down there for a coaching session at 9am and some great racing after lunch. If you haven't been to Mordy sailing club before, the entrance looks like somebody's driveway but once you turn into it you'll see through to the beach. The link for regatta entry has closed so just register for racing on the day.
