Chris Shannon will officiate in his 300th Senior Match this Saturday 19th August when he umpires the Shepparton Swans v Shepparton Bears game at Princess Park
The Shannon name is synonymous with umpiring, with his brother Mick, also a central umpire with the GVFUA achieving his 300th senior game in 2015.
GVFUA President Darren Meek, congratulated Shannon and regards him as one of the most senior Umpires within the GVUA ranks.
Chris has been umpiring for more than 15 years
Meek claims “this makes Chris & Mick the first ever brothers in the history of the Goulburn Valley Football Umpires Association (GVFUA) to umpire 300 senior games, which is an amazing feat”.
“The GVFUA is very proud of Chris’s achievement and is looking forward to him continuing his umpiring career” says Meek
