Twelve players from the Essendon Football Club will disembark at Echuca as part of the AFL Goulburn Murray Player Appearance Program next Tuesday 16 May.
The visit will see players engage in a variety of activities in all of the Primary and Secondary Schools in Echuca/Moama.
Schools will use the players to run small football clinics, undertake Question & Answer sessions, provide information around diet, nutrition and training, and speak about the value of leadership.
Players will spread amongst the Primary Schools in the morning before speaking to senior students in the Secondary setting after lunch.
Students in Echuca/Moama have been lucky that this is an annual event in their community and it provides an excellent opportunity for the visiting AFL Club to promote their brand and foster new fans for the game.
Essendon will finalise the list of players attending pending any injuries from Saturday night’s Country Round encounter with the Geelong Cats.
