The season’s first Goulburn Campaspe Junior Football League Gala Day will be held this Sunday when Girgarre host a big day for local U10 footy.
Seven teams will participate in a participation focused and fun-filled round robin day building on the successful initiative started last season.
GCJFL President David Trewick views these events as an important part of their Calendar.
"Our clubs are very conscious of providing a suitable pathway program between Auskick and our U12 competition" he said.
"Auskick numbers are growing locally and it is a big jump to U12 football so these U10 days provide a great chance for kids to get a taste of the club football competition."
"Keeping in line with our League ethos the rules are very participation friendly and follow the AFL Junior Match Policy guidelines."
"We are working towards a permanent U10 division and Sunday will be another step towards that ultimate goal for the League."
