Kyabram and Rochester students will be hopping with excitement as players from the North Melbourne Football Club arrive on Tuesday 23 February as part of the Goulburn Murray AFL Player Visit Program for 2016.
The visit will see players undertake a Super Clinic at the Kyabram P-12 College in the morning commencing at 10.45am, before visiting Secondary Schools after lunch.
Simultaneously at Rochester Secondary College, four different players from the Kangaroos will work with Secondary College students in the morning before conducting a clinic after lunch for the Primary School students commencing at 1.40pm.
"Secondary Schools will use the players to run small football clinics and undertake Question & Answer sessions" highlighted AFL Goulburn Murray Football Development Manager Trevor Mellington.
"The players will also provide information around diet, nutrition and training, and speak about the value of leadership."
"Players will be assisted by some local footballers from Kyabram Secondary College in the morning Super Clinic before speaking directly to senior students in the Secondary setting after lunch. This will also occur in the reverse order at Rochester"
"These player visits provide an excellent opportunity for the students in and around Kyabram and Rochester to get up close and personal with some AFL stars as well as providing North Melbourne the opportunity to promote themselves in the region."
