Avenel’s gun midfielder Donald Stirling has taken out the prestigious McNamara Medal for the best and fairest for the Kyabram District Football Netball league.
Stirling had a run away season with seven best on ground performances to poll 29 votes and win by three votes from classy onballer David Price from Nagambie who polled 26 votes.
Merrigum speedster Renee Lea also polled 29 votes to take out the Warren Medal for the best and fairest in the A Grade netball competition. Avenel’s Kathryn Hard had a great season to poll 27 votes to finish second two votes clear of Casey Livingstone from Stanhope on 25 votes.
