The Goulburn Campaspe Junior Football League club delegates voted unanimously to join the AFL Goulburn Murray Region Administration Centre (RAC) for the next three years at their Annual General Meeting held in Echuca on Wednesday 16 September.
Outgoing President Brian Wilkinson was happy to hand the administrative procedures over to the RAC.
"It’s a natural evolution for our League and the RAC will bring other expertise and resources to support the great work that our clubs do" he said.
"The League is in a really good position and I am comfortable in the new administration set up being able to work the best for our clubs and for junior football across the reach of our League."
New League President David Trewick is also pleased with the decision taken by the clubs.
"I am looking forward to working closely with the Commission and staff" he said.
"The work of the RAC will minimise my day to day requirements so that as President I can take a more strategic approach to make sure our League continues to evolve and develop."
"David Bruns has joined the Executive as Vice President and Sally Hawkins as Secretary and with Lisa Evans continuing as Treasurer we have a good team in place to continue the good work that has been done over the past few years."
AFL Goulburn Murray Region General Manager Martin Gleeson praised outgoing President Brian Wilkinson and League Secretary Rachael Shandley for their contributions to the League.
"Both Brian and Rachael have had an enormously positive impact on junior football in the Goulburn Campaspe over the past few years" he said.
"After five years as President Brian’s focus is now more on his senior involvement with Echuca and after five years as Secretary Rachael is stepping down due to her growing work commitments."
"Their legacy is a very vibrant competition and that is something they should both be very proud of."
"We will organise a formal handover meeting in late October to get started and then get to work with fixturing and planning for 2016."
