On Wednesday 14 May the Carlton Football Club will visit Primary and Secondary schools throughout the city of Shepparton as part of the Goulburn Murray AFL Player Appearance program.
18 players from the Navy Blues will be in attendance with the final numbers determined after the clash against St Kilda next Monday night.
Key players Matthew Kreuzer, Jarrad Waite, Mitch Robinson, Jeff Garlett, Chris Yarran and Robert Warnock are all expected to attend along with local ex-Kyabram star Nick Holman.
15 schools will be visited in either a morning or afternoon session with over 1,000 students having the opportunity to spend time discussing a whole host of topics from training, health and wellbeing, recovery, preparing for the big games and interstate traveling.
Players will also be available for photos and to sign all important autographs for the students.
This is an incredible opportunity for so many young students to get up close and personal with some of the elite footballers of the AFL competition as well as the Carlton Footballers experiencing the vibrant multicultural and diversity that the Shepparton has to offer.
