After over seven months of consultation and workshops across all Leagues and clubs in the region AFL Goulburn Murray released its first Strategic Plan at a Sponsor’s dinner on Wednesday night at the Kyabram Community & Learning Centre.
The dinner, an initiative to recognise the sponsors of the KDFNL, Shepparton Junior and Seymour Junior competitions, provided the platform for AFL Goulburn Murray Chairman Nicholas Rolfe to announce the Plan as a significant body of work representative of stakeholder input.
"The Strategic Plan provides the framework which will now drive our agenda for the next three years" Rolfe said. "All leagues, clubs and the Umpires Associations have had an input into the final plan so we are confident in its representation of the interests of our affiliates."
"The Plan identifies the key Strategic Priorities of Participation, Community, Engagement, Fan Development, Talent & Second Tier, Facilities, People & Culture and Sustainability."
"Key Objectives for each Strategic Priority have also been identified and will provide guidance and direction for our future activities."
"The Commission will annually review the Plan to track progress and also to ensure it remains current and relevant to the needs of the region."
A summary brochure of the Strategic Plan has been printed and is available to all stakeholders.
