2013 GVFL Administrator of the Year Grant Wilson has been appointed as the new Administration Manager at the AFL Goulburn Murray Region Administration Centre.
Grant, who is the current Mooroopna FNC General Manager, will commence in his new role immediately and will be tasked with the responsibility of running League accounts as well as other League operational duties.
Wilson spent 23 years in the police force and currently manages the administration and accounts for his own business. For the past three years he has excelled as the General Manager of the Mooroopna FNC and this season was awarded as the GVFL Administrator of the Year.
"Grant is a great addition to our team" noted Region General Manager Martin Gleeson. "He has a wealth of experience in accounts and administration which will be important as we build effective financial management systems for the benefit of our partner Leagues."
"Grant’s knowledge of administering both football and netball at club level will also be advantageous as we look to integrate netball services in the future for the benefit of Leagues."
Grant is looking forward to being able to work in a field he is passionate about "I have always been interested in sports administration and to gain employment in this type of role is very exciting for me."
"I’m looking forward to the challenge of putting new systems and procedures in place to assist the ongoing development of AFL Goulburn Murray."
