The Seymour and District Junior Football Netball League will join the AFL Goulburn Murray Region Administration Centre (RAC) from next season.
Club delegates unanimously voted to join the administration hub at last week’s Annual General Meeting held at the Seymour Club with the League’s football and netball administration moving into the RAC for the next three years.
“This is a great opportunity for our League” identified League President Ray Steyger . “The clubs and the executive are fully supportive and can see the value in a consolidated administration to share workload and ideas.”
“The workload required to run a League is always increasing and we are grateful to now be able to access a staff and system to run the League operations and allow the executive to work more strategically across the League.”
“Our administration will also now be able to work even closer with development staff and the Commission to help our clubs and our League grow and prosper.”
AFL Goulburn Murray Region General Manager Martin Gleeson welcomed the League into the RAC.
“We are looking forward to working with Ray, his executive team and the clubs and full credit to them for looking to the future and embracing the opportunity to shore up their administration.”
“As a town based competition the senior clubs rely heavily on junior players coming through. In working closely with the League our focus will not only be on running the league operations but also working hard with Greg Liddell and the Football Development Managers to drive programs and initiatives in the clubs.”
