Players must let us know if they intend on playing Season 2!  

Coaches and coordinators will meet for team selections before competitions games begin the following Tuesday 24th July 2018 and will need to have an idea of who is playing by then. 

If you cannot make the sign on afternoon you may e-mail the club on kingaroybasketball@gmail.com or Facebook message the KBA Basketball page to let us know who is playing and in which competition to avoid missing a spot on a team.

Kingaroy Aussie Hoops is back!

Term 1 2018 begins Tuesday 13th February with Coach Aimee. This term will run for 7 weeks and is for all players from prep up to age 9 who want to have fun learning the fundamentals of basketball. Aussie Hoops is a stepping stone to our KBA's U12 Competition. Classes are limited to 20 players so get in quick!

Fees are: $85 for New Players and include a New Participants Pack with bag, Spalding basketball and reversible training jersey. Returning Players are $50 per term. (These prices cover BQ and BA Registration and Insurance and KBA Court fees while playing Aussie Hoops.)

Come down to the club and get ready for the KBA's new Open Comp Season of Basketball with some friendly 3 on 3 games! From 6.30pm Tuesday 18th July - competitive players 15yrs+ welcome. Register to join a team to play in the Kingaroy Basketball's Open Comp - Round 1 starts Tuesday 25th July.

Come and give Aussie Hoops a go! If you are between the ages of 5 and 8 and want to give basketball a go, come and try our Aussie Hoops Program! We are having a Come and Try Day on Tuesday 18th July before starting our 8 week, Term 3 Program on Tuesday 25th July at 3.45pm. Come down and bring your parents or a friend to have a go with you! All players new and old are welcome to come down and join the fun of Aussie Hoops! See you there!

Kingaroy Basketball Annual General Meeting

Its coming up to that time of year when Kingaroy Basketball chooses its new committee for 2017! The club AGM will be held at the courts on semi-final night - Tuesday 22nd November 2016 at 7.30pm.

Please contact the club if you would like to put your hand up to help out in the new year in any way. Positions that are new to the committee for next year will include a Uniform and Team Gear Coordinator and Media Representative.

Due to the way our bye system works, our last B-Grade regular season fixture will be on Tuesday 1st November before we start our 3 weeks of finals games on Tuesday 15th November.  

Therefore, all B-Grade teams have a week off regular games on Tuesday 8th November. 

However, we will still be playing ball!  For those who are keen to play, your B-Grade Coordinator, Dan Walters, is organising a 3 on 3 comp open to all B-Grade players!

Beginner Referee Course: The Beginner Referee Course teaches the basics of refereeing the game – fouls, violations, administration, and mechanics (where to run on the court).  This course will be run by Mr Noel Ernest.  Participation in the Beginners Referees Course is FREE and open to all members of Kingaroy Basketball Association and the community.  Participants will receive a whistle and course notes and must be aged at least 12 or older to participate.
