KBA is happy to announce that Open Basketball is back this season! KBA OPEN Basketball is open to competitive players over the age of 15 (Born 2003 or earlier).

The KBA Under 20's competition is for players aged 15 - 19 years (born 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000 and 1999)* and our Competition Coordinator for Season 2 2018 is Dan Walters.

The KBA Under 15's competition is for players aged 12 - 14 years (born 2004, 2005 and 2006)* and our Competition Coordinator for Season 2 2018 is Sandy Sawtell.

The KBA Under 12's competition is for players aged 8 - 11 years (born 2007, 2008 and 2009)* and our Competition Coordinator for Season 2 2018 is Sandy Sawtell.

Due to our inability to find someone willing to coordinate the A-Grade competition, it will be put on hold for Season 1 2017.

Kingaroy Basketball is happy to announce that Aussie Hoops will be back again in Term 1 2017 for all players aged 5 - 8 years.

We have restructured our Junior Training program and we would like to introduce you to our new KBA Under 12's competition! Open to all children aged 8 - 12 years.

The KBA B-Grade competition has been restructured and renamed and will now be known as the KBA Under 18's Competition. It is open to all High School Students aged from 12 - 18 years.

For players 15+ years we are running our Social Mixed Competition on a Wednesday night.

KBA is very happy to announce we have been successful in our application for a grant through the Get Going Clubs scheme round 5. The Queensland Government has provided $2963 to Kingaroy Basketball to purchase a variety of training equipment to support basketball in Kingaroy and to increase Queenslanders participation in sport and recreation activities.

Basketball: A group of Kingaroy basketball players travelled to Dalby earlier this month, to fly the flag for Kingaroy in a biannual basketball competition.

Its that time of year when Kingaroy Basketball chooses its new committee for 2017! The club AGM will be held at the courts on semi-final night - Tuesday 22nd November 2016 at 7.30pm.

As the regular fixtures of Season 2 of the Kingaroy Basketball Association start to come to a close we are about to embark on our finals for both A and B Grades.

Due to the way our bye system works, our last B-Grade regular season fixture will be on Tuesday 1st November before we start our 3 weeks of finals games on Tuesday 15th November. Therefore on Tuesday 8th November, we are holding a special 3 on 3 event for our B-Grade players who are not keen to have a week off!

KBA has developed a policy of recruiting and developing local referees through all stages of Basketball Queensland’s qualification requirements. Current or retired players and others interested in becoming referees are encouraged to undertake this challenge as a very rewarding pursuit.

The Ladies Comp may have been put on hold for now, however there is some good news! There has been increasing interest in starting a social mixed competition on Wednesday evenings instead. Emphasis would be on SOCIAL, FUN, PARTICIPATION and a bit of FITNESS.

Thank you to the ladies that came to to women’s muster last night! The KBA Women’s Competition has been going strong for a quite few years now, however it has been generally decided that the majority of players would like to take a break from competition basketball this season.

Thunder roared to a 48-29 victory over Sharks in the Grand Final of the Kingaroy Basketball Association’s Season 2 played on Tuesday night.

Thunder regained some respect after losing to the Sharks in last season’s Grand Final, taking a 48-29 victory.
