FINAL MEDAL TALLY
As the closing of the 2007 Tumutevarovaro Games drew close Vaka Te Au O Tonga was walking away with it. Following the athletics Vaka Puaikura and Takitumu hadnt managed to overtake Te Au O Tonga with the medals. So the final count is Te Au O Tonga with 54 gold, Puaikura with 35 gold and Takitumu with 24, rest of the tally is on the attached medal tally.

Medal Tally after Day Seven
Vaka Te Au O Tonga leaps ahead with 32 gold, 18 silver and 14 bronze. Vaka Takitumu has agained stepped over Puaikura with 14 gold, 22 silver and 19 bronze. Puaikura still has a chance as they arfe stronger in Athletics, Puaikura with 14 gold, 19 silver and 24 bronze.

Medal Tall after Day Six
Vaka TeAu O Tonga still lead the medal tally after day six with 20 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze, with Vaka Puaikura who has moved un into 2nd place with 12 gold, 12 silver and 19 bronze, and Vaka Takitumu with 11 gold, 17 silver and 11 bronze.

Te Au O Tonga and Puaikura win gold in the Tumutevarovaro Games Football tournament. With a big supporter group on their side Vaka Te Au O Tonga took out the Open Men's. Vaka Puaikura Open Women's Team was way to good for Te Au O Tonga, winning gold.

Medal Tally after Day Five
After Day Five of competition of the 2007 Tumutevarovaro Games, Vaka Te Au O Tonga still lead the medal tally with 19 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze. With Vaka Takitumu with 11 gold, 16 silver and 10 bronze, and Vaka Puaikura close behind with 11 gold, 11 silver and 19 bronze.

Rain postpones games...
Due to the weather we are experiencing from the low deperession near the southern Cook Islands, rain has postponed a few of the sports. Tennis has agreed to play when ever the sky clear-ups, the three Vaka's have agreed to this.
Following the meeting with the Games Co-ordinator of Te Au O Tonga, an agreement has been met to postpone the closing ceremony of the 2007 Tumutevarovaro Games to next week on Wednesday evening following the Athletics.

Swimming FINAL Results
Vaka Takitumu clean up in the Swimming and Vaka Te Au O Tonga also picking up a the gold in the Open Womens category. With the participation of the Triathletes, the swimming event was a big hit, all those who participated enjoyed the events. Mona Henderson picking a cpouple of Bronze medals for Vaka Takitumu, congratulation Mona.

Rugby 7's Draw
Rugby 7's kickoffs on Saturday 15th December at the Tupapa Field, following the Rugby 7's, the Closing Ceremony will start and the medal presentation for the 7's will be done.

Vaka Te Au O Tonga take out the gold medal in the League 7's tournament of the 2007 Tumutevarovaro Games, with Vaka Puaikura picking up the silver and bronze medals.

Day Two at SQUASH
Puaikura lost their first game against Takitumu, however has picked after playing Te Au O Tonga winning 13 - 10. Tomorrow will see Takitumu play Te Au O Tonga in the Mix Team Event.

With more medals won in the Open Water Swimming, Table Tennis and Darts, Vaka Te Au O Tonga still lead the medal tally after day two.

DAY TWO RESULTS
With the rough sea and cold water, the Open Water Swimming continued, final racing on Wednesday 12th December. Football kicked off today with Takitumu playing the hosts Vaka Te Au O Tonga, with the Open Womens match having a shoot-out, Takitumu winning 5 goals to 2.
Table Tennis continued where Te Au O Tonga again dominated in the Open Women's Doubles, with the Open Men's Semi and Finals tomorrow evening.
Takitumu winning more medals in the Darts, which is a sport dominated by Vaka Takitumu, Darts continue tomorrow evening.

Swimming contiuned with the 600m and 1200m Open Water regardless of the weather, waters were rough and cold in Tikioki this afternoon.

Vaka Te Au O Tonga taking out the Table Tennis Mix Team Events with 2 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Without Vaka Takitumu showing up, Vaka Puaikura winning 1 silver and 1 bronze.

Puaikura do it again
Roland, Jennie and Richard win gold for Vaka Puaikura in the Open Mix Team Triathlon events held at Akapuao in Titikaveka. Coming in second and picking up the Silver Vaka Te Au O Tonga, and with the Henderson's winning the Bronze medal for Vaka Takitumu.
Next saturday will see the Under 19 Junior's and the Open Men and Women individual events.

Puaikura still Volleyball Champs
The Puaikura Open Men & Womens team took out the Gold medals for both categories in the Volleyball competition, also the Under 14 Girls of Puaikura also winning gold, however the boys not as good as the girls. Vaka Te Au O Tonga winning gold in the Under 14 Boys, with Vaka Takitumu winning silver in both junior categories.

Te Au O Tonga clean sweep Touch
With the sun beating down on the Avatiu Sports Filed and with players feeling the heat, it was Vaka Te Au O Tonga who got the upper hand and managed to clean sweep the tournament and take out all catagories.

2007Tumutevarovaro Games Open
The opening ceremony of the 2007 Tumutevarovaro Games was a hit with the participating Vaka's. As the last host, Vaka Takitumu turned off in full force, with Vaka Puaikura showing that they are out for the win this time around.
Games kick off on Saturday morning with the Canoeing / Oe Vaka and Sailing, later on in the day will see Touch Rugby and Volleyball starting up. Table Tennis will kick off in the evening at the Mangaia Hostel starting at 5.30pm

Vaka Te Au O Tonga Ready
Vaka Co-ordinator Mark Brown commented that Vaka Te Au O Tonga organisers are ready, with the support from the Ui Ariki and Members of Parliment, everything is falling in place as they prepare for the Opening Ceremony on Friday 7th December at the Te Atukura Grounds.
