Australian Development Camp squad announced

Gliders team announced for Japan series

Deaflympics: Geckos to face the USA

Opals and Boomers

Australia's women's basketball team showed no mercy against the Tall Ferns at the AIS Arena in Canberra on September 2, downing New Zealand to clinch the 2009 FIBA Oceania Championship for Women, 97-57. Game report, images and video highlights

At halftime as the Opals clinched the FIBA Oceania title, another Australian was honoured; Women’s international matches between Australia and New Zealand will now be played for the Landon Shield in honour of BA’s GM of National Teams and Competitions Lorraine Landon. More

After a disappointing loss to the Tall Blacks, Brett Brown’s Boomers finished their year on a high by bouncing back to defeat some quality opposition to claim the Stankovic Cup in China and securing a naming rights sponsor. More


Hawks win NBL Top End Challenge

The Wollongong Hawks stunned the National Basketball League by taking out the Top End Challenge pre-season tournament in Darwin with a tough 94-88 win over the more fancied New Zealand Breakers. The Top End Challenge Website
