It is now the third time round for most of the teams in the Speed Field Days Mallee Football League.
Walpeup/Underbool Vs Beulah
Walpeup/Underbool will play home to Beulah this coming Saturday. These two sides drew in their last match against each other. The Blues were leading until the Roos made a fighting comeback to even the score. Walpeup/Underbool had a disappointing loss to Ouyen United last week. The Roos had a strong first half keeping a small lead on the Demons. In the end Ouyen United were too good. James Wakefield was a handy player for Walpeup/Underbool. Beulah had a fantastic win against Woomelang/Lascelles in their last match. The Blues got away with a good start in the first quarter and kept up the intensity for the whole match. Tim Hallam was a strong player for the Blues. Walpeup/Underbool should win in their match against Beulah.
Ouyen United Vs Woomelang/Lascelles
After beating the Roos in their match last week, Ouyen United are to play at home against Woomelang/Lascelles. The Demons had a good win when they played the Cats back in round 8. Even though falling short in the first quarter, Ouyen United lifted and were very strong all the way to the end of the match beating Woomelang/Lascelles by 65 points. Ouyen United beat Walpeup/Underbool at Underbool last week. After going down in the first half of the game, the Demons came firing out of the blocks and took off on the Roos. The Demons won the match by 36 points. Woomelang/Lascelles played Beulah last week. The Cats worked hard all day but unfortunately the Blues were too good. Kade Schack was the best for Woomelang/Lascelles. Ouyen United should account for Woomelang/Lascelles in their match this week.
Jeparit/Rainbow Vs Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers
Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers will play at Rainbow this week against Jeparit/Rainbow. The Tigers had a great win against the Lakers in their last match kicking 22 goals to Jeparit/Rainbow’s 7. The Lakers played Hopetoun in what was a terrific game. Jeparit/Rainbow had a good lead on the Devils for three quarters. The Lakers had a bad last quarter unluckily going down to the Devils. Ash Clugston worked hard all day. Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers had the bye last week. The week before the Tigers had a good win against Ouyen United. Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers worked hard all day and won the match by 60 points. Bill Barry was the Tigers best player. Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers should win their match against Jeparit/Rainbow.
