Ironic or what? During the last 7 days, the Euroa Football Club have announced that they will be advertising for nominations to appoint the coaches for their Seniors, the Reserves and the Under 18's for season 2010. Ironic it is that during the same time the Seymour Football Club via President Mr Trevor GUNN have announced that they have reappointed Bernie HABERMAN to continue on as Senior Coach for the Seymour Lions in 2010. Ironic in that Seymour hosted Euroa at Kings Park on Sunday with the visitors recording a terrific win so the winning coach David PUTAMORSI has to re-apply if he wants the job for next year and the losing Coach Bernie HABERMAN has got his job sewn up. The word irony was in the writers head as he drove back to Shepparton on Sunday afternoon having watched the young Magpies play so well.
If the Magpies can keep their youngsters and if Freddy CAMERON, Scott WATSON, Cameron THYER, Mattie MILLS, Craig BAMFORD, Guy MORPHETT and a few others can keep under the age of 30 and retain their fitness and keeness and love of the Club, Memorial Park could be an exciting place to be over the next few years. A very close and happy district with the footy club an integral part of the community - an active role with the Euroa Football/Netball Club would be a very enjoyable and happy experience.
The Magpies can be contacted via President John IVILL on 0418 386407 &/or Secretary Trina MACKRELL on 0403 196450. The address for the Euroa Football/Netball Club is :- P.O. Box 208, Euroa, 3666.
The Magpies can also be contacted through their website via the GVFL Web site or via the Sporting Pulse website.
