Ouyen United Vs Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers
Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers were victorious in their match against Ouyen United at Ouyen. The Tigers had a bad first quarter when the Demons kicked 6 goals and 2 points to Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers 3 goals. The Tigers worked very hard in the second quarter and got the lead back. They lead by 27 points at the end of half time. Both sides were working very hard in the third quarter. Great play was made by both sides. Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers kicked another 4 goals and 4 points to Ouyen United 3 goals and 2 points. The Tigers were just too good in the last quarter booting 5 goals and 3 points to the Demons 1 goal and 2 points. The final score was Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers 20 goals and 12 points to Ouyen United 11 goals and 6 points. Bill Barry was excellent for the Tigers along with Darcy Ryan, Scott Weekley and Luke Martin. The Demons’ Dean Jardine worked hard all four quarters. Brenton Jardine, Jarred Munro and Corey O’Callaghan all played great games for Ouyen United.
Hopetoun Vs Beulah
Beulah had a good win on Saturday when they played away against Hopetoun. The match was tight in the first quarter with the Devils leading by just 2 points. The Blues got away in the second quarter as they kicked 2 goals and 7 points to the Devils no score. The Devils fought back in the third quarter to lead by 13 points. The last quarter showed how good Beulah are and they took back the lead scoring 5 goals and 3 points to Hopetoun 1 goals and 4 points. In the end, Beulah 11 goals and 12 points defeated Hopetoun 10 goals and 8 points. Steph Saunders was a key player for the Blues. Brad Moore, Dylan Turnbull and Josh Warren contributed to the win. Hopetoun’s Tyler Saunders worked hard all match along with Liam Price, Coleman Schache and Lionel Gainsford.
Woomelang/Lascelles Vs Walpeup/Underbool
Walpeup/Underbool were too good in their match against Woomelang/Lascelles on Saturday at Woomelang. The first quarter started with the Cats getting a good start kicking 5 goals to the Roos 4 goals and 3 points. Walpeup/Underbool got away in the next quarter kicking a handy 7 goals and 5 points to Woomelang/Lascelles 2 goals and 2 points. The Roos lengthened their lead with another 4 goals and 6 points against the Cats 1 goal and 2 points. The last quarter was a big one by Walpeup/Underbool. They booted a massive 9 goals and 9 points to Woomelang/Lascelles 1 goal and 3 points. Walpeup/Underbool won the match 24 goals and 23 points to Woomelang/Lascelles 9 goals and 7 points. Brady Charles was fantastic for the Roos. Josh Charles worked hard all match and Nick Malinovski and Kane Munro were outstanding up forward kicking 11 goals between them. Ryan Tierney kicked 2 goals for the Cats. Matt Torpey, Luke Symes and James Bailey kept trying all day for the Cats.
