Werribee Tigers power forward Nathan Thompson said the Tigers 17-point win over Collingwood was a highlight of his career.

“We played uncomplicated footy today, tackled hard and got it."
Thompson, who crossed to Werribee this season after a lengthy AFL career, praised the standard of VFL.
“VFL is a great level of footy. There’s plenty of young VFL blokes who are not far off the mark (of the AFL)," Thompson said.
“To play in wins like that makes it all worthwhile.”
One player considered to be close to an AFL birth is Michael Barlow. The gun midfielder continued hios stellar form, racking up 31 disposals to go with five marks.

“We changed-up a bit today, coming off five losses we thought there was not much to lose. We had a few muck-ups early on but we got the result.
“Hopefully they start stringing together now.”
Barlow welcomed Thompson's return.
“it’s been tough without him. Thommo brings a presence and takes the number one defender," Barlow said.
