The Speed Field Days Mallee Football League has made its way down the draw and the rematches have now begun.
Beulah Vs Walpeup/Underbool
Beulah will have the home ground advantage when they play against Walpeup/Underbool. The Roos had a tough loss to Ouyen United last week. They fought hard all day, especially in the second quarter where the Roos’ forwards lifted. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough falling short by 1 point. Beulah had a great win against Woomelang/Lascelles. The game was quite close until the last quarter where the Blues exploded kicking a margin of 5 goals and 8 points. Beulah and Walpeup/Underbool had their last match at Underbool. Both teams had sensational last halves but the Roos came away with the win. Despite their loss last week, the Roos have been showing good form and should continue to do so as they play the Blues. Their star forwards Kane Munro and Nick Malinovski have been outstanding and they should be too good for the Blues backline.
Woomelang/Lascelles Vs Ouyen United
Ouyen United will play away at Woomelang when they verse the Cats this weekend. The Demons had a terrific win over Walpeup/Underbool last week in a real fighter. The Demons had a great first quarter leading by 6 goals at the end of it, but then found themselves in a hole when they were down at the end of the second quarter. Great determination saw Ouyen United fight back and win the match by 1 point. Woomelang/Lascelles had a disappointing loss to Beulah in their last match. The Cats kept up all the way but in the end the Blues were just too good and they snagged the win. In the Cats and the Demons last match, the Demons had a very easy win. Ouyen United were on form and they were far too good the Cats. Their rematch should be no different as the Demons form is still strong and should win this week’s match.
Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers Vs Jeparit/Rainbow
Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers play hosts to Jeparit/Rainbow in their first match against each other for the season. Jeparit/Rainbow had a loss against the Devils last week at Hopetoun. The Lakers worked hard all day but Hopetoun were victorious. The Tigers had the bye last week. In their previous match, Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers played a great game against Ouyen United. The Tigers won the match by 7 goals and 6 points. This week the Tigers should be in great form. With the home ground advantage they should win their match against the Lakers.
Hopetoun have the bye.
