Dunnstown's midfield dynamo Aaron Sawers celebreated his selection in the WorkSafe VCFL District team with a fine performance in the WorkSafe VCFL win over the Victorian Amateur Football Association C-D4 grade side.
Played in slippery conditions at the Barooga Football Club the Worksafe VCFL District side 13.10.88 def VAFA C-D4 side 2.8.20.
Aaron Sawers put in a strong display playing mainly on the wing highlighted with courageous attacks on the football when it was in dispute and then fine delivery, in particular his kicking of the slippery ball.
Other Bnedigo Bank CHFL players Brenton Powell (Learmonth) and Rhys Cahir (Dunnstown) were listed as emergenies for the match.
This is the second win for the WorkSafe VCFL District side over the VAFA C-D4 in two years and it is clear that a rivalry is building which will assist in making this an intlerleague fixture which continues to grow from strength to strength.
