Walpeup/Underbool and Ouyen United are leading the pack as we come into round five of the Speed Field Days Mallee Football League.
Beulah Vs Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers
Both of these teams are showing great form as they complete the top four of the ladder. Beulahâs last match was a real fighter against Jeparit/Rainbow. Beulah had great midfield pushing forward. Sea Lake had their last match against ladder toppers Walpeup/Underbool. Had a great third quarter going from 2 goals down to 3 goals up. Great backline worked so very hard in the last quarter but unfortunately it wasnât enough. The Tigers lost by 4 points. Beulah had a similar ending score only losing by 12 points. Theses side will have a good tussle against each other with both side having quick midfields moving the ball down forward.
With a great struggle, the Bluesâ home ground advantage should see them win this weekâs match
Jeparit/Rainbow Vs Woomelang/Lascelles
The Lakers had a disappointing loss to the Demons last weekend. The worked so had but unluckily they could compare themselves to Ouyen United's explosive win. The Cats had a great third term last week against the Devils. Woomelang/Lascelles were closing in on Hopetoun until the Devils snuck away in the last term. These two teams should make it very hard for each other. Both teams have great backline working hard for their team.
After the Lakers fantastic display against the Blues, they should win the match.
Hopetoun Vs Walpeup/Underbool
Hopetoun should have their work cut out for them this weekend as they take on the leagues number ones. Last week against the Cats, the Devils showed great strength as they booted their way to victory in the last quarter. Walpeup/Underbool also had a good last term as they fought back the lead that Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers had made in the previous quarter. Hopetoun's Clint Castleman showed great class as he kicked seven goals for his team. The Roos centre-half back is like a brick wall. Nothing ever gets through.
Walpeup/Underbool has show great team work and the should see this weeks game out with a win.
