Fiji U23 One moves into 3rd position
IN a all home encounter, the Fiji Under 23 One team brushed aside a half-hearted challenge from the number two team 44-18 in the first game of Day 5 of competition.
Both teams started well but halfway through lack of pressure from the Team two defenders saw team one shooter Apenisa Kubutawa too relaxed to collect high balls for easy points.
Fiji Two had a lot of opportunities to pile points but lost a lot of possession in the center third.
Kubutawa's inconsistency saw inform defender Sekonaia Kalou moved into the Goal Shooting position to score 10 in the final run.
The Fiji One team is currently in third position on the points ladder as teams enter the preliminary finals scheduled for Friday, August 13 or Day 6 of competition at the National Indoor Stadium.
