A good weekend for the Under 14 div 1 boys at Bulleen this weekend.  The boys althought starting slowly with a loss to Bulleen 2 29 to 6 wnet on to play out the weekend with some good strong basketball.   Bulleen 3 saw the boys come out strongly and good use of our height advantage and finally some excellent defensive work saw the bay ead the game and come out of tough game 24 to 17.   This carried on into game 3 when we defeatd Eltham 4 31 to 26 ina strong fast and physical game.   Now with a bit of confidence in our own ability the boys went on the Sunday to work hard and take the anil biter again against Bulleen 3 by 2 points contributions from every player were excellent.  Some solid defensive work and soem good offensive plays allowed us to be up at the half and take this game out 26-24.  Solid contributions all weekend  had the boys playing some good basketball.  Game five and the grand final started well but Bulleen 2 were too well equipped and nerves and fitness saw them get on top by the half and never look back with a 46 to 25 win to them.   A good tournament and a great weekend though culminated with skills clinic taken by none other than Tom Maher.   All the kids enjoyed a revealing session with Tom and learnt some great new pointers.
