Last year's TAC Cup Coaches Award winner Rory Sloane is eyeing off a round one birth for his new club Adelaide.
Sloane, 18, impressed in the Crows recent trial game against West Coast at Alice Springs.
The former Eastern star admitted to finding the going tougher than at TAC Cup level.
“I found that when you make a mistake at this level it’s very costly. The pace is a bit quicker than TAC Cup footy and a lot more skilful for sure,” Sloane told afl.com.au.
“There was a time on the weekend when I was running down the wing, everything was a blur and you’re trying to make a decision.
"You have to be aware of your surroundings and good with your decision making, but that’s the sort of thing that will come with a few more games under the belt.”
Sloane was picked-up with the 44th selection at the NAB AFL National Draft joining fellow TAC Cup products Shaun McKernan (Calder Cannons) and Will Young (North Ballarat Rebels) at Adelaide.
