NBDO to tour Goldie College

The Western Provincial Basketball Association is one of the very few existing associations that had affiliated to the Solomon Island Basketball Federation. With the amount of exciting players blessed with huge amounts of athleticism there is great potential to develop basketball in the Western Province.

Goldie College had just completed its basketball court early this year, as it will boost the game of basketball in that particular area and especially in the Western Province and also it will be part of the Solomon Island Basketball Federation development plan in constructing basketball court in the Provinces.

I will be visiting the College upon request by their Principal sometomes this month to inspect their court and also to conduct basic coaching and referees, sports administration clinic, and also to organized competition so that they put things in practical what they learn during the course.

While in West I will be able to visit the two existing court at the NORO base which is just a walking distance from the college, to inspect the court and to identify some one that I can work with him/her to draft a development program to conduct similar course as the college, and also to involve communitties in conducting their own competition and other areas that needs to help them in developing the code.

The proposed date for the tour is on 26th July to 6th August 2004.
